Emergency Services Clinician/Social Worker needed in Vermont!

This is a full-time, permanent position.

This position is with a fantastic Medical Center located 1.5 Hours south of Burlington, Vermont. This is an excellent opportunity for a Social Worker that has experience working with children to join a patient-centered organization.

The Emergency Services Team provides emergency mental health services 24/7 to children and adults experiencing acute psychiatric/psychological distress and/or in immediate danger to themselves or to others. Support may be provided over the phone, or emergency services clinicians may visit an individual in their home, at school, at a local health care provider or in the general community. Individuals in crisis may also be directed to meet an emergency services clinician at one of several of our locations for brief, supportive outpatient crisis services when this is a better fit for the individual’s needs. In acute situations with associated high-risk or when staffing does not allow rural mobility, individuals will be seen in the Emergency Department. All services strive to de-escalate the crisis and divert the need for inpatient hospitalization. (Currently, a lot of this work is being conducted via telehealth/remote).

Job Qualifications

• Masters in Mental Health Counseling, Social Work, Psychology or similar required.
• Hours vary, 1st, 2nd, 3rd shift and may rotate. Weekends, holidays required.
