Job Responsibilities of the MRI Tech Lead:
- Responsible for overseeing the coordination and facilitation of MRI Technologist within the MRI Department to successfully complete provider ordered MRI procedures and associated tasks according to protocol and by collaborating with Radiologist & Medical Providers as necessary.
- Functions as an extension of the Manager & Director Medical Imaging to carryout assigned tasks, problem solve, and send equivalent communications. Cooperates with leadership to assist in carrying out essential departmental responsibilities, hospital policies & procedures, and other duties as assigned.
- Provides direct patient care, ensures high quality patient care from self and MRI staff, and conducts self in a professional & respectful manor with all others at all times leading by example.
- Assumes responsibility of designated area, communicates leadership information to staff efficiently by sending same message to achieve clear understanding, and provides clinical instruction as appropriate.
Minimum Job Requirements as a Lead MRI Tech
- ARRT (R) Certified
- Willing to obtain ARRT (MR) within one year of employment if not already in possession of.
- Two years of experience as a Rad/MRI Tech
- Must be open to Evening or Night Shift
