Job Description
Currently looking for an experienced Physical Therapist Assistant to fill an opening with a Acute Care setting located around the Abilene, Texas area. Interested candidates should at least have 1 year of Physical Therapy experience, an Associate of Science degree, and have graduated from an accredited LPTA program. Interested candidate should also have a valid TX PTA license, or already have started the process of obtaining them.
Requirements of the Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA):
- Minimum of 1 year of Physical Therapy Assistance experience
- Active TX PTA license, or eligible to obtain
- Full-time, Direct-hire Opportunity
- Acute Care Setting
- Day shifts
Responsibilities of the Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA):
- Plan and implement treatment interventions according to patient plan of care
- Documents daily record of patient’s condition, adapting treatment plans accordingly under the supervision of a Physical Therapist
- Communication of patient progress with Physical Therapist, patient, family, and interdisciplinary team
- Patient and family education of patient progress to include skilled recommendation on AE/DME and community support where available and when appropriate
- Ability to work in a typical clinical environment, stamina to remain standing or sitting for extended periods of time, and lift/assist patients as needed
