Physical Therapist (PT) – Full-Time
Southwestern Arizona | Near the California Border
$40.82 – $51.03 per hour + Sign-On & Relocation
A leading healthcare system in Southwestern Arizona near the California border is seeking a dedicated Physical Therapist (PT) to join its collaborative rehabilitation team. Located in a sunny desert community along the Colorado River, this region offers over 300 days of sunshine annually, affordable housing, outdoor recreation, and convenient access to Southern California and Phoenix for weekend travel.

Job Responsibilities:
As a Physical Therapist, you will evaluate, develop, and implement individualized treatment plans in accordance with physician referrals and professional practice standards.
Key responsibilities include:
- Performing comprehensive physical therapy evaluations and establishing measurable, functional treatment goals
- Developing and implementing individualized plans of care based on patient needs, diagnosis, and age-specific considerations
- Providing skilled physical therapy interventions while ensuring patient safety and comfort
- Monitoring patient progress and modifying treatment plans as necessary
- Collaborating with physicians, nurses, interdisciplinary teams, and families to ensure continuity of care
- Educating patients and caregivers on treatment plans, exercises, and discharge instructions
- Documenting evaluations, treatment sessions, and progress in compliance with regulatory standards
- Supervising and delegating appropriately to PTAs, therapy technicians, and students
- Participating in departmental process improvement and maintaining productivity standards
This role interacts regularly with physicians, healthcare professionals, community providers, and families to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Graduate of an APTA-accredited Physical Therapy program (or equivalent)
- Current Physical Therapy license in the State of Arizona (or eligible for licensure)
- BLS certification required
- Demonstrated clinical competency in evaluation and treatment planning
- Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to defend clinical reasoning using evidence-based practice
- Adaptability with caseload management and scheduling
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary Range: $40 – $51 per hour
- Sign-On Bonus:
$10,000 with 2-year commitment
- Relocation Assistance:
$5,000 with 2-year commitment
- Housing Provided:
Three (3) months of temporary housing at a hospital-provided apartment complex (taxable benefit)
