Job Description

Currently looking for a PERM Occupational Therapist (OT) to fill an opening with a Outpatient setting located around the Midland, Texas area. Interested candidates should have at least one year of clinical experience as an OT and have an active Texas Occupational Therapist license.

Requirements of the Occupational Therapist

  • One year of Occupational Therapist (OT) experience
  • Outpatient
  • Active/Eligible Texas Occupational Therapist license
  • Day Shift - M-Th 8A-5P; Friday 8A-12P with an acute rotation every 4th or 5th weekend.
  • Very competitive base pay with shift and on-call differential
  • Must obtain BLS, PALS, and ACLS upon start day
  • PERM/DIRECT-HIRE PLACEMENT ONLY

Responsibilities of the Occupational Therapist (OT)

  • Evaluates, plans, schedules, and administers treatment to patients as prescribed by referring physicians, charges and documents patient’s progress, maintains other appropriate records, and assists in the training of students, evaluating of equipment, promoting occupational therapy within the hospital and community, as well as keeping abreast of new techniques and possibilities of service.

  • Designs and implements treatment plans as prescribed by physicians and as indicated by evaluative procedures, to rehabilitate a person to his/her utmost functional ability through the use of therapeutic means.

  • Has the authority to recommend disciplinary action pertaining to employees supervised.
