Job Description

We are currently seeking an Occupational Therapist to join our team near Temple, TX. In this role, you will plan, organize, and provide professional services in restorative, functional, and preventative therapeutic programs to patients. Your clinical practice will involve evaluation and occupational therapy treatment planning to facilitate the rehabilitation of individuals with disabilities. Working closely with patients and their families, you will establish and meet treatment goals in a supportive environment.

Essential Functions of the Occupation Therapist Role:

  • Evaluate, treat, and monitor patients, adapting therapy programs and goals as needed.
  • Maintain thorough and concise clinical documentation, ensuring accurate charge entry.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, colleagues, and the medical care team, providing education and support.
  • Supervise ancillary staff, students, and volunteers.
  • Advance clinical skills through ongoing education and implementation of evidence-based practice.
  • Share knowledge to develop the clinical skills of colleagues, adhering to regulatory guidelines.
  • Maintain awareness of system goals, aligning personal goals to uphold or impact them.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Masters' or Bachelors' degree plus 2 years of work experience above the minimum qualification.
  • Experience: Less than 1 year of experience.
  • Certification/License/Registration:
    • Occupational Therapist (OT)
    • Basic Life Support (BLS): BLS certification or completion within 30 days of hire.
