A premier healthcare organization in the Atlanta Metro area is searching for motivated & talented Medical Lab Technicians and Medical Technologists to join their laboratory. Candidates are required to be ASCP or AMT certified as an MLT /MT /MLS / CLS and be comfortable working on the evening or night shifts (openings on both shifts). These are generalist positions with no Blood Banking and very limited Microbiology requirements.

Medical Lab Technician / Medical Technologist

Responsibilities of the Medical Lab Technician / Medical Technologist:

  • Performs various laboratory tests and procedures while adhering to standard operating procedures on patient specimens to assist in the diagnosis, study and treatment, or prevention of disease.
  • May perform tests including but not limited to standardized and semi-routine biological, chemical, hematological, immunological, immunohematological, microbiological, and serological tests in a research or clinical laboratory.
  • Performs preventive maintenance on laboratory instruments and calibrates equipment and instruments as required.
  • Operates laboratory equipment and troubleshoots equipment and instrument malfunctions. May serve as key operator for implementation of new equipment and procedures.

Requirements of the Medical Lab Technician/Medical Technologist:

  • Trained in an accredited MLT/MT program
  • ASCP or AMT certification as MLT, MT, MLS, or CLS
  • New grads will be considered
  • Comfortable working as a generalist on 2nd or 3rd shift (Blood Bank and Micro not required)
