A Lead Chemistry Medical Technologist is needed for a full-time day shift opening in North Central Texas. This position required a Bachelor of Science degree in Medical Technology (or related science) and national certification through ASCP or AMT. A generalist with a strength in Chemistry will be the ideal candidate as there will be opportunities to support multiple departments. Responsibilities of the Lead Chemistry Medical Technologist:
- Abide by laboratory protocol and procedures.
- Must be comfortable with the workload that comes with larger facilities
- Provides information for patient diagnosis and treatment by performing laboratory tests in all lab departments with an emphasis in Chemistry
- Able to use various types of machinery, lab equipment, and complex computer programs to perform the test.
Requirements of the Lead Chemistry Medical Technologist:
- Trained in an accredited MLT or MT program.
- BS degree required.
- 3+ years of lab experience.
- Previous leadership experience is not required.
- ASCP or AMT certification required.
