(Archived) Medical Laboratory Technologist

Currently looking for a Medical Laboratory Technologist with at least one year of hospital experience to fill an opening with a Hospital facility located outside of Seneca, Oregon. Interested candidates should be able to perform a variety of laboratory procedures to examine and analyze body fluids, tissues, and cells, have ASCP or AMT certification or be eligible within 6 months.

Responsibilities of the Medical Laboratory Technologist

• Provide accurate and timely laboratory test results to healthcare providers to aid in the treatment and diagnosis of patients
• Read and follow all Standard Operating Procedures of the Laboratory
• Performance of Phlebotomy using proper aseptic technique on all age groups of patients
• Utilize the LIS system to order, result, and retrieve laboratory results
• Process specimens and send-out testing when necessary

Requirements of the Medical Laboratory Technologist

• Completion of a Bachelor’s degree in medical laboratory
• Current certification with ASCP or AMT or eligible within 6 months
• Experience in a hospital laboratory
