Currently looking for a Clinical Lab Technologist-Blood Bank to fill an opening with an Academic Medical Center located around the Las Vegas, Nevada area. Interested candidates should have three years of clinical experience in a Trauma setting, have or be eligible for a State of Nevada License in Medical Technology, and MUST have Transfusion/Blood Bank experience. Responsibilities of the Clinical Lab Technologist-Blood Bank
- Independently performs complex and sophisticated laboratory analysis according to established laboratory protocols and procedures to include, but not limited to: patient test results; calibration of equipment; quality control; preventative maintenance; troubleshooting of instruments; method validation studies; result calculations; etc.
- Ensures accurate test results and communication when appropriate
- The work includes the use of microscopes, chemicals, computers, complex laboratory equipment and instrumentation
Requirements of the Clinical Lab Technologist-Blood Bank
- 3 years of recent documented Transfusion/Blood Bank experience
- Valid State of Nevada License
- Recent experience in a Hospital/Acute Care Laboratory
