Medical Laboratory Scientist Lead – Nights (7-on/7-off) | North Texas Region

A respected healthcare system in the North Texas region is seeking an experienced Medical Laboratory Scientist III to lead and support overnight lab operations on a 7-on/7-off night shift. Key Responsibilities

• Perform and monitor a full range of laboratory tests in compliance with department protocols and regulatory standards
• Supervise or assist in managing nightly operations, providing guidance and mentorship to team members
• Maintain rigorous quality control and assurance processes, ensuring accurate and timely test reporting
• Perform instrument troubleshooting, calibration, and maintenance with minimal supervision
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and external partners to support patient care coordination
• Maintain inventory, safety, and infection control standards
• Participate in ongoing educational activities and help train or orient new lab personnel

Minimum Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in a related field OR 4+ years of relevant work experience beyond minimum qualifications
• Experience: Minimum 3 years of experience as a Medical Laboratory Scientist, including at least 1 year in a leadership or supervisory capacity
• Certification: Must hold a valid certification from one of the following:
• ASCP (American Society for Clinical Pathology)
• AMT (American Medical Technologists)
• ABHI (American Board of Histocompatibility)
• AAB (American Association of Bioanalysts)
• Grandfathered HEW licensee accepted
