An ASCP Histology Specialist (HT/HTL) is needed in Boston, Massachusetts immediately to help processing patients’ lab needs. The ideal candidate must have a minimum of two years of experience in histology. The selected candidate will be responsible for processing tissue samples, analyzing data, and generating results for patient care. An ASCP certification is Histology (HT/HTL) and minimum two years of experience, ARE BOTH REQUIRED for this role.

Responsibilities of the ASCP Histology Specialist (HT/HTL):

  • The required skills for this position include advanced knowledge of histology techniques, excellent laboratory skills, and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • The candidate must be familiar with laboratory procedures and be able to maintain a safe working environment in the laboratory.
  • The candidate should also have excellent communication skills and be able to describe technical procedures to other professionals and trainees.
  • As an ASCP Histology Specialist (HT/HTL), you will play an essential role in diagnostic pathology. You will collaborate with other lab professionals and clinical teams to ensure accurate results are provided to the patient.
  • You will work in a fast-paced environment, processing and analyzing a variety of tissue samples.
  • In addition, you will have the opportunity to work with state-of-the-art equipment and technology.

Requirements about the ASCP Histology Specialist (HT/HTL):

  • Must High school diploma or equivalency required. A.S., B.S. or B.A. in a biological or chemical science and/or completion of a NAACLS accredited histology technician training program highly desired.
  • Histology HT/HTL ASCP Certification required
  • Must have a minimum of two years of Histology experience
  • Must be comfortable in a busy, challenging, clinical laboratory environment
