Must be a Registered Nurse with a master's degree and 5 years of recent psychiatric/behavioral health experience managing operations within a healthcare system. Must have knowledge of regulatory and professional standards.

Responsibilities for the RN Director-Behavioral Health:

• Communicates business imperatives, goals and direction in a clear and complete manner.
• Establishes clear goals and outcomes that drive change process.
• Through managers ensures effective staffing levels daily to ensure a balance between cost and quality. Investigates accidents/incidents in an effort to prevent future occurrences.
• Ensures policy/procedures remain current and in line with any new regulations.
• Plans, directs and evaluates overall activities within the behavioral health department, including administrative activities, and fiscal material and human resource management.

• Identifies internal and external ways to leverage core business strengths.

• Financially accountable for aspects of the unit utilizing available financial systems and reports and understanding the expense and revenue aspects of the unit.

Requirements for the Behavioral Health RN Director:

• Must be a Registered Nurse

• Master's Degree

• 5 years of recent psychiatric/behavioral health experience managing operations within a healthcare system.

• Must have knowledge of regulatory and professional standards.
