Responsibilities of the Histology Tech (HT/HTL):
- Determines appropriate handling and tissue processing for specimens, and priorities on requested procedures.
- Utilizes appropriate equipment with precision for all histological protocols.
- Perform Pre-analytical specimen processing on surgical tissue.
- Provide outstanding customer service to internal and external customers
- Performs routine preventative maintenance, cleaning, and minor adjustments on all lab equipment.
- Follows procedures on all lab tests.
Minimum Requirements for the Histology Tech (HT/HTL):
- One year of experience as an HT/HTL is preferred however will consider new grads.
- Certified or eligible if New Grad through the ASCP
- Associate or Bachelor's degree in a biological or related science
