Job Description

Continuum Medical Staffing has a 13 week travel assignment that starts 4/24/17
Responsible for evaluating, planning, directing, administering, and documenting speech/language pathology services to patients 0-100+ years of age. Administers treatments per established plan of care in an effort to restore function and prevent disability following injury, disease or physical disability. Assists patients to obtain maximum performance and function in society while learning to live a routine “normal” life within the constraints of their disability. Coordinates, delegates and supervises responsibilities assigned to supportive staff. Participates in operational aspects of the department, maintains performance improvement activities within the department and participates in continuous quality improvement activities. Provides input in formulating budget, assists in evaluating department performance versus budget controls and takes appropriate action to remain in budget guidelines. Ensures that patient charges are accurate and entered on a timely basis. Participates in all departmental training and safety programs as required. Outpatient speech services from birth to 100+ years. Language & swallowing experience. Able to complete modified Barium Swallow studies is a plus! Current state speech therapy licensure Graduate of an approved Speech Therapy program Received ASHA’s Certificate of Clinical Competency (CCC) Must have at least one (1) year of experience. Need IP & OP experience. Swallow eval & rx modified Barium Swallow study experience. Pediatric thru geriatric speech and language eval & rx. Current CPR certification. day-shift; Monday- Friday approx 35-36hrs/week 9 hours days occasional/random weekends Possible travel to satellite clinic Troy clinic (18 miles away)
