Job Description

Special Procedures Radiology Technologist:

*Must have two or more years experience in Special Procedures.

The Special Procedures Technologist performs diagnostic, angiographic and interventional imaging procedures in accordance with established procedures under guidance of a qualified physician. Complies with State and Federal regulations for radiation usage and safety. Evaluates and determines diagnostic image quality of recorded images. Provides appropriate and safe patient care. Works positively with all customers to promote employer, patient, and physician satisfaction. Enters charges (tests and supplies) orders, and completes exams. Provides comprehensive patient and family teaching based upon their individualized needs. Participates in performance improvement initiatives. Participates in staff/student orientation and training. Performs duties as a Radiologic Technologist as required. May transport non-narcotic medications as directed. Required to participate in "on-call" rotation as determined by specific department needs.

REQUIREMENTS: Education: Graduation from JRCERT Accredited or ARRT approved Radiologic Technology program Experience: More than one year in diagnostic radiology. Florida Radiologic Technologist License Other: ARRT Registered. BLS required
