Job Description

Our Associate Director of Psychology and Forensic Services assists the Director of Forensic Services in

overseeing and managing the provision of forensic services. He/she also supervises the treating psychologists and oversees the training of psychology interns.

Responsibilities:



Assists the Director of Forensic Services in managing the forensic services provided by the Hospital.Evaluates individuals with suspected mental health difficulties often around issues of Competence to Stand Trial(CST) or Criminal Responsibility (CR), aidâ€inâ€sentencing, civil commitment related to mental illness.Conducts inpatient examinations of defendants on issues primarily pertaining to CST and CR and coordinateswith inpatient treatment teams and the courts. Individuals sent for evaluation may be committed for ongoingcare and treatment beyond the evaluation period.Perform other duties as assigned.

Education:

  • Doctoral degree in psychology from an accredited university.

Experience:

  • 3 years of experience in forensic assessment preferred.

Licenses/Certifications:

  • Licensed as a psychologist in the state of practice.
