Job Description
This is a Critical Access Hospital in rural Northern California. Need to be on call Sunday through Saturday (M-F mostly inpatients) some outpatient, 1-2 Saturdays per month) PRINCIPAL JOB DUTIES: - Assists physical therapists in providing physical therapy treatments and procedures - Develops and implements appropriate treatment programs; applies therapeutic modalities effectively, designs and instructs appropriate exercise program, instructs patient in home care and preventative activities - Records treatment given and equipment use, response, and progress in patient’s chart - Reviews physician’s referral and patient condition and medical records to determine physical therapy treatment required - Elicits and records information about patient’s medical history - Maintains records on all patients with timely implementation of physician orders - Accounts for all chargeable times, supplies and equipment - Cleans work area and equipment after treatment - Assists with clerical duties such as taking inventory, ordering supplies, answering phone, and taking messages - Performs other duties as assigned.
