Loyal Source Government Services is looking to hire a qualified Certified Medical Assistant to work as a civilian contractor working in Phoenix, AZ QUALIFICATIONS: Minimum of 1 year of experience as a CMA Must have experience in a pediatric setting Minimum Education: Associate of Applied Science Degree in Medical Assisting; Completion of Medical Assistant training program. Certified in American Association of Medical Assistant (AAMA) or American Medical Technologist (AMT)//Registered Medical Assistant (RMA)/National Certified Medical Assistant (NCMA). SCOPE OF WORK: Take medical histories and recording vital signs, explaining treatment procedures to patients and family, preparing patients for examination and assisting the physician during the examinations. Collect and prepare laboratory tests on the premises, dispose of contaminated supplies and sterilize medical instruments. Instruct patients about medication and special diets, prepare and administer medications as directed by the physician, authorize medication refills as directed, telephone prescription to the pharmacy, draw blood, prepare patients for X-rays, take electrocardiograms, applying bandages, remove sutures, change dressings and other first aid procedures.
