Full-time Assistant Histology Supervisor needed at an independent, locally physician-owned, New Mexico-based lab!
Seeking a permanent Assistant Supervisor for the Histology lab. This person needs to be HT or HTL certified with an Associate’s Degree in Science or a Bachelor’s Degree in Science. They also need to have a minimum of 2 years supervisory experience. Experience in grossing tissue specimens would be an asset.
They would rotate between a 7-4 and 8-5 shift. On the 7-4 shift they would help cutting the daily surgical workload and do immunohistochemistry staining on our Leica BOND. On the 8-5 bench, they would be doing the days grossing of tissue specimens. They would be in charge of the lab and its staff when the Supervisor is absent from the lab and assist the Supervisor in doing the administrative duties. They would participate in the on-call duties for the lab ( a 2 week rotation every 6 weeks).
This position oversees a staff of 3.
