Cardiovascular Interventional Technologist - (Cardio - CI Tech - CVIT)
StartDate: ASAP Available Shifts: 8 D Pay Rate: $1800.00 - 2200.00

Vascular Tech Needed for ASAP Start!!

Required Qualifications
ASAP Start Date
ARDMS / RDCS / RVT eligible.
Current BLS certificate.
Preferred: ARDMS / RDCS / RVT certification.
Performs non-invasive vascular ultrasounds including carotid, arterial, venous evaluations and graft scanning. Provides accurate history, preliminary report of exam results for interpreting physicians. Operates ultrasound and associated equipment. Provides patient's name, FM #, FV # and data accurately for all procedures. Completes accurate data input to assure proper charges to patient. Upon completion of the test, the technologist will prepare the study for physician interpretation, and performs related clerical work as needed.
Performs invasive vascular procedures by assisting the physicians in the Vein Procedure Laboratory: EVLA, RFA, I & D, Phlebotomy.
Performs non-invasive vascular procedures including carotid, aorta, IMT, LEV, LEA, ABI, vein mapping/reflux studies.
Assists in scheduling of outpatients and inpatient procedures requiring a panel physician.
Prioritizes and organizes daily workload assignment. Must be able to assess pathology requiring immediate physician notification and/or attention versus routine interpretation. Recognize potential problems and recommends changes in a preventative proactive manner.
Required: 3 Years of Experience, Acute care experience in Vascular Diagnostic patient setting, Experience with Allscripts & Sonosoft Reporting Systems, Experience with IAC accreditation submission.
Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served, including knowledge of the principles of growth and development and psychosocial characteristics and interventions for infant (birth-1 year), toddler (1-3 years); pre-school (3-5 years); school age (6-11 years), adolescent (12-18 years), early adulthood (19-45 years), middle adult (46-60 years), late adult (61-79 years); late adult (80 + years).
Basic computer skills in a Windows operating environment including Word and an e-mail system.
Ability to communicate clearly and diplomatically.
Ability to work with difficult patients.
Must be detailed oriented.
Analytical skills necessary to recognize abnormal vascular studies and artifact on test data and to notify appropriate personnel.
Ability to perform all aspects on non-invasive vascular testing following age related competencies per department protocol.
Computer, telephone and filing skills.
Ability to work irregular hours.
Bilingual English/Spanish communication skills preferred.
