Job Description

General job duties. Types of procedures required.
General Surgery, Laparoscopic, Abdominal surgery, GI, Orthopedics: Arthroscopic Knee and shoulder, ACL Fractures, Total Joints, Spine, Hand, Gynecology: Hysterectomy, C-Section, ENT: T&A, Sinus, Middle Ear, Urology: Cysto, Open Kidney procedures & Prostatectomy, Vascular: Peripheral, Minimally Invasive


2. Equipment utilized in the unit/dept. (Is there computerized charting, medication systems, etc.)
Instruments sets required to perform above listed procedures, Cautery, drills, microscope, fracture table, sterilizers,


3. Required skills and minimum years of experience.
Must have 3+ years of experience in a majority of specialties listed, must be certified and willing to take On-Call responisbilities & work variable day/evening shift


4. Specific licensures and certifications/registrations required. (ARRT, CRT, BLS, ACLS, etc)
Current Certified Surgical Tech, BLS and NH Med Tech Certification


5. Shift or schedule requirements. (Will the employee ever work alone? Is call required? If so, how often? Are weekends required?)
On-Call is required; approx 1 week day/week & approx 1 weekend per 6 weeks, also 1 Late shift/week. Surgical Tech will always be working with a RN Circulator.


6. Floating to other units/departments. (If so, to which units/departments?)
The primary area is responsibility is in the Lakes Operating Room


7. Bed size/number of rooms for this unit/dept.
The OR has 6 ORs, 1 Cysto room.


8. Dress Code:
Must wear surgical scrubs provided by the hospital upon arrival to work and change into street clothes at end of shift
