Status: Full Time
Schedules Available: 3:00PM-11:00PM
Basic Functions:
This position embodies the Memorial Health System Performance Excellence Standards of Safety, Courtesy, Quality, and Efficiency that support our mission, vision and values. These standards are evident in the daily work, which includes performing ''scrub'' technologist duties for scheduled surgeries, assisting with the draping and utilization of instruments for a particular surgery and age of the patient serviced, and demonstrating knowledge in the basic principles of sterile technique and sterilization procedures.
Requirements of the position include:
High-school graduate diploma.
Successfully completed OR-Technician training program, previous experience as an OR Technician, or recent graduate of an OR Technician program.
A class in Anatomy and Physiology preferred.
Attends JCAHO, OSHA, and hospital/nurse manager-specified mandatory in-services.
Obtains four contact hours in area of interest.
