Surgical Technologist- North Myrtle Beach, SC

hospital in the North Myrtle Beach, SC area is looking for a Surgical Technologist to join its surgical services team!

This is a great opportunity for a Surgical Technologist looking to gain experience in a collaborative operating room environment. The position is located near the beautiful South Carolina coast, approximately 25 minutes from North Myrtle Beach!

Position Highlights

• Hospital-based surgical services position

• Open to candidates with 0–3 years of experience

• On-call responsibilities with a 30-minute response requirement

Responsibilities

• Prepare operating rooms, surgical instruments, supplies, and equipment for procedures

• Assist surgeons throughout surgical procedures while maintaining a sterile environment

• Ensure instruments and equipment are properly sterilized and ready for use

• Assist with patient positioning, preparation, and draping

• Perform surgical counts and participate in patient safety verification procedures

• Anticipate the needs of the surgical team during procedures

• Assist with specimen handling and preparation

• Support operating room cleaning, turnover, and restocking between procedures

• Follow infection prevention and patient safety protocols

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology program

• Certification through the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA)

• Current BLS certification

• 0–3 years of experience

• Strong knowledge of sterile technique and surgical procedures

• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced surgical environment
