Surgical Technologist
Haverhill, New Hampshire | Mon–Thurs 7:00am–4:30pm | $25–$35/hr

Position Summary
We are seeking a skilled Surgical Technologist to join a surgical services team in Haverhill, New Hampshire. This position supports surgeons and operating room staff by preparing the sterile field, assisting during procedures, and ensuring safe and efficient operative care.

The Surgical Technologist plays a key role in maintaining surgical asepsis, anticipating the needs of the surgical team, and contributing to optimal patient outcomes in the operating room.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain sterile surgical fields and operating rooms for procedures.
• Assist surgeons and registered nurses during operative procedures by passing instruments and supplies.
• Ensure all surgical instruments, equipment, and supplies are properly sterilized and accounted for.
• Anticipate the needs of the surgical team to ensure smooth workflow during procedures.
• Handle specimens according to hospital protocols.
• Maintain strict adherence to infection control, sterile technique, and safety standards.
• Perform surgical counts (sponges, instruments, and sharps) before, during, and after procedures.
• Assist with room turnover and preparation for subsequent cases.
• Collaborate with surgeons, nurses, and anesthesia staff to support efficient surgical operations.
• Maintain accurate documentation as required by facility policies.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology program required.
• Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) preferred or eligibility required.
• BLS certification required.
• Prior operating room experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of sterile technique and surgical procedures.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.

Compensation & Schedule

• $25–$35 per hour, based on experience
• Monday–Thursday, 7:00am–4:30pm
