NEW Permanent Surgical Technologist – Wayne County, North Carolina
A reputable hospital is seeking a Surgical Technologist to support its operating room team across multiple specialties.
Summary:
The Surgical Technologist performs technical duties in the OR, maintains aseptic technique, prepares instruments and equipment, and supports surgeons and the clinical team throughout the procedure.
Key Responsibilities:

Maintain, assemble, handle, and sterilize instruments.

Follow and correct breaks in aseptic technique.
-
Perform accurate surgical counts and follow policy for discrepancies.

Label and manage drugs, solutions, and specimens.
-
Set up instruments and supplies for optimal access during procedures.

Assist the surgeon with an understanding of anatomy and procedural needs.

Requirements:

NEW GRADS ACCEPTED

Strong communication and organizational skills.

Completion of Surgical Technologist competencies (UNC Health standard).

Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology or Nursing program, military program, or 3+ years of prior tech experience.

Current BLS certification.
