Full-time Speech Language Pathologist needed in NH!
Join a hospital & school system in New Hampshire that serves individuals with disabilities in New England and New York through specialized education, rehabilitation, and support services. This position is in the school. Full-time, permanent, 40 hours.
Department: Speech Therapy
Summary: Provide assessment and treatment of school students, ages 6-22, with developmental or acquired disorders, including neurological, physical, emotional, behavioral and/or multiple disabilities. Specific diagnoses may include but are not limited to: autism; TBI; cerebral palsy; emotional disorders; medically fragile conditions; neurological impairments; spinal cord injury; visual impairment; speech & language impairment. Speech & language diagnoses include, but are not limited to: disorders of speech, language, auditory processing, voice, fluency, cognition, and dysphagia. SLPs are responsible for assessment, which can include informal assessment done upon admission for a student who receives direct services within his/her IEP. The need for formal testing is assessed by the team, for each student receiving direct or consultation services, on at least a triennial basis. Informal re-assessments, in the form of data review, are done 5 times per year, according to the student's IEP. SLPs are expected to adhere to the Code of Ethics and Scope of Practice set forth by the American Speech-Language Hearing Association (ASHA).
Requirements
- Current NH State license, in the field of Speech-Language Pathology.
- Current ASHA CCC or is in the process of obtaining CCC (CFY).
