Job Description
We are seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our team in Orlando, Florida on a full-time basis. This stable, rewarding opportunity is ideal for a motivated SLP looking to provide high-quality, patient-centered care. The SLP will assess, diagnose, and treat a diverse range of speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders across pediatric and adult populations.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations to assess speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders.
- Develop and implement individualized, goal-oriented treatment plans based on assessment findings.
- Provide evidence-based therapy to address articulation, language, fluency, voice, and swallowing challenges.
- Educate patients and caregivers on treatment plans, home strategies, and techniques to support progress outside of therapy sessions.
- Monitor and document patient progress, adjust treatment plans as needed, and maintain accurate records in the electronic medical record (EMR) system.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members, including physicians, educators, psychologists, and other healthcare professionals, to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Stay current with best practices, research, and advancements in speech-language pathology.
- Maintain compliance with ethical, legal, and facility policies, including standards established by ASHA and the Florida Board of Speech-Language Pathology & Audiology.
Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
- Current Florida SLP license or eligibility for licensure.
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) from ASHA (preferred).
- CPR certification (preferred).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Previous clinical experience preferred but not required.
Work Environment:
- Full-time position with consistent, predictable scheduling (40 hours per week).
- Potential work settings include hospitals, outpatient clinics, rehabilitation centers, skilled nursing facilities, or home health.
