TITLE: Speech Therapist (60K+)
LOCATION: New Concord, Ohio

Summary:
The Speech Language Pathologist is responsible for patient evaluation and the application of a wide variety of therapeutic techniques for the habilitation and rehabilitation of patients with speech and language disorders, oral, pharyngeal and/or laryngeal motor disorders.
Responsibilities:
-The Speech/Language Pathologist shall perform an initial evaluation and determine a plan of care with involvement of the patient and/or the family as well as in accordance with the Ohio Practice Act.
Conduct re-evaluations of the patient’s condition and make modifications to the plan of care as needed.
-The Speech/Language Pathologist will administer treatment in accordance with the plan of care.
1. Measure and fit patients for speech assistive devices as needed.
2. Instruct in home programs, as well as using the assistive devices.
3. Perform Speech/Language treatments/modalities within their scope of practice.
4. Participate in multi-disciplinary conferences as needed to address patient’s needs.
5. Document treatments thoroughly, billing accordingly.
-Promote the profession of speech/language pathology and maintain current knowledge in regards to the profession and best practices.
1. Provide for the clinical education of speech/language pathology students and volunteers based on individual requirements for each school.
2. Apply research findings appropriately to evaluation and intervention processes.
3. Complete continuing education as outlined in Ohio Practice Act.
4. Understand legislative, political, professional and reimbursement issues that affect the practice of Speech/Language Pathology.
5. In-service hospital staff as needed to maintain quality of care issues as deemed appropriate in the field of Speech/Language Pathology.
6. Assist in QI activities.
Qualifications:
Masters degree in Speech Language Pathology.
Must be licensed or eligible for license by the State of Ohio to practice Speech Language Pathology
Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) or performing Clinical Fellowship (CFY) under direct supervision of qualified personnel.
Must and adhere to the ethics of the profession for which the individual holds a license/certification.
Must have at least one (1) year experience and/or eligible for ASHA Clinical Fellowship year.

The range is 60K-95KK depending on experience and they offer an excellent benefit package and will assist with some moving expenses.
