Social Worker - Long-term Acute Care - (SW - Acute)
StartDate: ASAP Pay Rate: $1700.00 - 1800.00
This position functions in the Social Services department within Wrangell Medical Center to provide psycho-social support to people, families, or vulnerable populations of all ages so they can cope with chronic, acute, or terminal illnesses in an inpatient, outpatient and Long-Term Care settings. This temp. opportunity does include housing and will be coordinated with staff at Wrangell Medical Center upon acceptance of a contract for coverage.Location: Mt, Edgecumbe Hospital Sitka AK
Required Qualifications
ALL TRAVELERS ARE REQUIRED TO SHOW PROOF OF COMPLETED COVID VACCINATIONS
Bachelor's degree in social work or a bachelor's degree in a human services field including, but not limited to, sociology, gerontology, specials education, rehabilitation counseling, and psychology required. Must be considered a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) or a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) and licensed in the State of Alaska.
Preferred Qualifications
Master's degree in social work is preferred. Working in a LTC/medical setting or agency that utilizes team meetings, assessments and planning with individuals or groups for a minimum of one year, preferred.
