Social Services Clinical SpecialistMSW's will be partnered with an RN Responsible for the development of the Service Area's social service programs, standards, and performance indicators. Monitors the programs and oversees the competency of staff.Essential Functions:• Provides content expertise to leaders, physicians, staff on all social service issues.• Acts as a consultant/resource to project teams, social workers, and management across the Service Area regarding social services, case management, and care coordination programs.• Ensures provision and integration of customer focused and cost effective social service programs supporting the continuing care patient process.• Develops, implements, and evaluates best practices and cost-effective operations standards.• Leads and supports multidisciplinary performance projects across the area to improve service.• Ensures the social service programs are in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.• Identifies prevention/intervention of issues/problems prior to their impact on operations, patient care, and member/ provider satisfaction.• Works with community providers to enhance member access to alternative community services.• Identifies gaps in services and develops community connection programs.• Develops and administers the social service education and inservice programs.• Offers MSW staff registered with California Board of Behavioral Science Associate Clinical Social Work supervised hours toward clinical licensure.

Required Qualifications
MusT be local and familiar with Community Resources
Able to commit to 6 month contract
5 years in the SW field
BLS
Demonstrated strong interpersonal communications skills.
Telephonic experience
