Monday – Friday | 7:30 AM – 4:30 PM

This role offers the opportunity to work within a collaborative, interdisciplinary team focused on chronic pain and behavioral medicine, helping patients improve function, resilience, and overall quality of life.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive psychosocial and behavioral health assessments
  • Provide evidence-based individual and group psychotherapy
  • Develop, implement, and monitor individualized treatment plans
  • Apply DSM-based diagnostic formulations within scope of practice
  • Facilitate therapeutic and psychoeducational groups (pain management, coping skills, mindfulness, etc.)
  • Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary care teams
  • Maintain a minimum of ~24 patient contact hours per week
  • Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant clinical documentation
  • Participate in case conferences, care coordination, and treatment planning

Qualifications

Required:

  • Master's degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited program
  • Active, unrestricted California LCSW license
  • Minimum of 1 year of post-licensure clinical experience
  • Experience conducting psychosocial assessments and developing treatment plans
  • Experience providing individual and group therapy in a clinical setting
  • Ability to provide evidence-based behavioral health interventions
  • Ability to assess, diagnose, and document mental health conditions using DSM criteria
  • Strong documentation skills with the ability to maintain compliance standards
  • Ability to work effectively within an interdisciplinary healthcare team
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to manage time, prioritize caseloads, and meet productivity expectations
  • Ability to comply with all applicable laws, regulations, and ethical standards

Preferred Experience

  • Experience in interdisciplinary medical, behavioral health, or specialty clinic settings
  • Experience working with patients with chronic pain or complex medical conditions
  • Training in CBT, mindfulness-based interventions, or trauma-informed care
  • Experience facilitating therapeutic or psychoeducational groups
  • Familiarity with functional restoration or integrated care models
  • Spanish/English bilingual proficiency or experience working with diverse populations
  • Experience using EMR systems
  • Experience providing staff education, training, or clinical consultation

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

  • Primarily seated role with extended computer use
  • Frequent use of standard office and clinical equipment
  • Occasional standing, walking, bending, or lifting (up to 20–25 lbs)
  • Requires clear verbal and written communication with patients and staff
  • Moderate noise level typical of a clinical/office setting
