Work Schedule:

Full-time. May be required to work additional hours as needed to complete assignment or project.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

Provide Dental-Non clinical Case Management and Administrative Care services for DRC 3/4 soldiers who require dental treatment.

  • Responsible for tracking Medical/Dental/Behavioral Health status of all assigned Soldiers; including compliance and non-compliance.
  • Responsible for medical charting and inputting all examinations, procedures and treatment plans.
  • Request profile exams/evaluations including: medical, behavioral health, dental, and audiology exams at physical exam center.
  • Maintain automated referrals.
  • Submit case processing, medical documentation, and profile concerns to military/contracted provider.
  • Attend PHA events as determined by the needs of the state and the individual units.
  • Ensure all medical documentation received from the Soldier and/or their Medical/Dental/Behavioral Health team is received and placed in appropriated electronic record, as well as the Soldier’s hard copy record.
  • Maintain Soldier medical records in accordance with Army Regulation.
  • Educate Soldiers on resources available to improve Medical/Dental/Behavioral Health readiness.
  • Maintain HIPAA standards and guidelines.
  • Review and track health assessment (PHA, SRP) lab results contact SM and educate on lifestyle modifications.
  • Responsible for tracking Medical/Dental/Behavioral Health status of all assigned Soldiers; including compliance and non-compliance.
  • Upload medical documents of case managed Soldiers into Health Readiness Record.
  • Track Medical/Dental/Behavioral Health appointments.
  • Maintain regular and punctual attendance.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Physical Demands:

Position consists of sitting for long periods of time, using hands/fingers, handling, reaching with hands and arms, speaking or translating. Periods of walking, standing, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, and lifting boxes weighing up to 30 pounds. Moderate to extended periods of office work with heavy periods of computer usage. May be assigned occasional to moderate periods of analytical tasks requiring extensive reasoning abilities. Work Environment:

Work is performed primarily in an office setting. Employee will be exposed to a wide variety of clients in differing functions, personalities and abilities.

Job Requirements

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Associate degree in a relevant area of study or Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • At least one (1) year of relevant medical background such as a medical records clerk or prior or current military Medic/Corpsman work experience.

Special Skills:

  • Demonstrates ability to prioritize, organize, problem-solve and coordinate daily activities to support effective improvement in individual patients.
  • Demonstrates knowledge, skill and ability to use basic office automation and information management equipment and programs (i.e. word processing, database management, email, etc.).
  • Excellent patient assessment skills.
  • Sufficient initiative, interpersonal relationship skills and social sensitivity such that he/she can relate constructively to a variety of patients and healthcare staff from diverse backgrounds.
  • Ability to effectively read, write and speak English in order to communicate with all patients and other healthcare providers.
  • Excellent written communication skills to perform accurate documentation, both written and electronic, of all activity in accordance with requirements.
