- The Crisis Screening Therapist shall possess a Master’s Degree in the human service field, i.e., social work, psychology, professional counseling. Registration and/or licensure in the State of Michigan (LLMSW, LMSW, TLLP, LLP, TLPC, and / or LLPC) is also required. Coursework, fieldwork, or job experience should demonstrate one year in providing assessment, diagnosis, and individual, group or family treatment to children and/or adolescent, ages 0-17. It is also recommended that the individual have proven assessment skills, experience in working with children and adolescents and be versed in crisis intervention. A minimum of one year post-degree experience in working with children and their families is required. Must meet requirements for Child Mental Health Professional (CMHP) credential within 120 days of hire. Basic computer skills are required. A valid driver’s license along with a favorable driving record is required. Additional requirements include a nonjudgmental approach that reflects cultural competency and sensitivity to the unique needs and diverse experiences of our clients, staff members, and business partners. Must have the ability to appropriately handle crisis situations.
