Overview

Education Coordinator - Master Level Social Worker

Rock Springs-Changes is an outpatient mental health clinic in Cedar Park, TX located near Austin. Rock Springs - Changes is an extension of our Rock SPrings Inpatient facility located in Georgetown, TX. We provide intensive outpatient programs (IOP) and partial hospitalization programs (PHP) for those facing mental health and addiction challenges. Our programs offer specialized, compassionate behavioral health treatment for children, adolescents and adults. At Rock Springs we are dedicated to Changing People’s Lives®.

Education Coordinators develop educational work and lesson plans, through different resources to meet educational needs of our Child and Adolescent patients. An Education Coordinator ensures timely feedback is given to parents, schools and patients regarding the educational needs, and maintains accurate and complete records of a patients' progress.

Position Details

  • Plan, Prepare and deliver instructional activates that facilitate active learning experiences.
  • Identify and select different resources to meet our students varying needs.
  • Coordinate with school districts and school counselors regarding individual educational needs.
  • Maintain accurate and complete records of student’s progress
  • Employs appropriate crisis intervention and de-escalation techniques as required and according to policy and procedure.
  • Maintain current knowledge of the program and protocol (policy and procedures) guidelines.
  • Completes documentation for each patient and keeps accurate accounts of school work.
  • Interacts with patients and groups of patients to enhance communication and delivery of quality care.
  • Comply with the established policy and procedure requiring a safe, clean and therapeutic environment.
  • Possess the necessary communication skills to interpret the needs of specific age groups in response to treatments.
  • Provides therapeutic activities to patients and groups of patients during non-school days.

Qualifications

Requirements:

  • Master's Degree with clincal licensure (LMSW, LPC or LCSW) required.

Experience:

  • One (1) year of relevant teaching experience, middle or high school experience preferred
