Registered Respiratory Therapist - Pediatric - (RRT - Peds - Pedi)
StartDate: ASAP Pay Rate: $1400.00 - 1600.00



Required Qualifications
Attire: Hunter Green scrubs BR: $68.00 Must have two years of experience as a RRT. Critical Care Experience Minimum Level of Education Required: Associate degree - Type of degree: Applied Science or Equivalent - Area of study or major: Respiratory Care or NBRC approved registry requirements Licensure/Certification/Registration - Valid Ohio Respiratory Care License, Valid Registered Respiratory Therapist Credential through NBRC (National Board for Respiratory Care). - BLS and ACLS through AHA is required. Knowledge/Skills - Ability to analyze, prioritize and evaluate patient needs in an efficient and effective manner. - Ability to assess, recommend, implement and modify respiratory care procedures by protocol or by physician order. - Initiate, maintain, troubleshoot and wean patients from various respiratory equipment. Ex. Mechanical ventilation, BiPAP, medical gas therapy. - Must be able to complete all clinical and didactic yearly competencies for clinical areas assigned. - Must possess and display effective verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills. - Possesses ability to educate staff, physicians and patients related disease process, treatment and/or medications. Unit Details: The Department of Respiratory Care is a 24/7 department with areas of responsibility throughout the hospital. This position primarily focuses on adult care areas and interfaces with medical staff, nursing, and other allied health practitioners, as well as patients, their families and their caregivers.
