Registered Respiratory Therapist - Pediatric - (RRT - Peds - Pedi)
StartDate: 12/23/2019Available Shifts: 8/10/12 D/E/N Pay Rate: $1400.00 - 1600.00

HELENA, MONTANA. RRT or CRT who has at least 2 years acute care experience in busy hospital setting. Must be comfortable handling all RT duties alone on the night shift. EXTENSIVE VENTILATOR EXPERIENCE REQUIRED, and comfort level managing ER, ICU and neonatal patients. Varied shifts day/night, work every other weekend and possible call as well. 36 hrs/week guarantee but could work 40hr/week. Help with Pulmonary Function Testing as needed.JOB SUMMARY (overview of job): Under the direction of the Director of Respiratory Care, with minimal supervision, the Registered Respiratory Therapist or Certified Respiratory Therapist, upon request of the physician, set-up and operates various types of respiratory equipment and deliver physician - prescribed therapy. Promotes and ensures continuity in the quality of respiratory care administered by the Respiratory Care department. Performs other duties as assigned. Takes call as required. Helps with PFTs as needed.KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE: Sufficient experience to demonstrate ability to accept responsibility as a RRT or CRT.EDUCATION: Registered Respiratory Therapist credential with the National Board of Respiratory Care.LICENSE/CERTIFICATION/REGISTRY: Current license with the State of Montana as a Respiratory Care Practitioner. BLS, ACLS, PALS & NRP required, MUST NOT EXPIRE DURING THE DURATION OF THEIR ASSIGNMENT.Aptitudes: _Demonstrate ability to effectively and creatively solve problems without immediate supervision. _Demonstrated ability to plan and use time wisely. _Demonstrate ability to effectively communicate with patients/families who may be under physical and emotional stress. _Gather and exchange information effectively with nursing personnel, physicians, and customers. Interpersonal skills and abilities to interact effectively with patients/families who may be under physical/emotional stress. Required Qualifications
Certified Respiratory Therapist or Registered Respiratory Therapist.
