Registered Respiratory Therapist - Pediatric - (RRT - Peds - Pedi)
StartDate: 12/10/2018Available Shifts: 12 N Pay Rate: $31.00 - 36.00

SHIFT: 12 hour nights

Required Qualifications
REQUIRED SKILLS: CRT or RRT with active California license. CURRENT BLS, ALCS, PALS, NRP. 2+ years of experience and 50 mile radius rule. Must have: Current experience in Level III or above NICU with current newborn intubation experience. Adult Care experience. MUST HAVE: NICU, and Newborn advance airway and life support experience, Adult Critical Care experience. Able to perform arterial puncture and arterial blood gas analyses. Skilled in ventilator management, NPPV, CPAP, IPPV, IPV, CPR, aerosol administration, Incentive Spirometry, oxygen administration, airway management ( includes mechanical suctioning devices ), Chest Physiotherapy, Sputum Induction, Acquiring patient EKG's, and simple spirometries. Orientation to care of the pediatric patient and annual competencies addressing the care of infants, children, adolescents, and adults. At least 2 years neonatal Intubation and transport experience required. Graduate of an approved Respiratory Therapy Program. Able to perform arterial puncture and arterial blood gas analyses. Assists in the diagnosis, treatment, and management of patients with pulmonary disorders. Collects and analyzes sputum, blood, and breath specimens to determine levels of oxygen, carbon dioxide, and other gases. Also measures the lung capacity of a patient to determine if there is an impairment. Requires an associate's degree and a credential of Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT). May be expected to maintain a CPR certification. Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required. Typically reports to a manager.
