#RRT1SHIFT: 3 12-HOUR NIGHTS

Required Qualifications
Graduate from an accredited School of Respiratory Care, licensed and currently registered as a professional respiratory therapist in the State of Ohio. Current Health Care Provider BLS training is required. In addition, NRP, PALS, and ACLS must be completed and maintained. Strong communication and interpersonal skills required. Peds experience preferred. Assesses, plans, implements, evaluates and directs care for premature, pediatric and adult patients. This care takes place in the Pediatric Intensive Care, Neonatal Intensive Care, Burn Center, Emergency Department, Operating Room and the general floors. Participates in the education of ACH staff, patients and parents. Able to work on an on-call basis as needed. Successful continued performance in this position may lead to advancement to the RRT II position based on additional required experience and education requirements for the level II position and business need. May provide guidance and support to the Registry Eligible Respiratory Therapist position as necessary. Staff may be temporarily assigned to an area throughout the Akron Children's Hospital enterprise, based on patient needs requiring similar knowledge and skill.
