Registered Respiratory Therapist - Pediatric - (RRT - Peds - Pedi)
StartDate: 08/13/2018Pay Rate: $31.00 - 36.00
SHIFT/HOURS: 12 hour variable shifts - manager may offer straight night or day shifts so please list shift preference on file submittal Traveler must be willing to work 2 out of the 3 holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years)
Required Qualifications
REQUIRED SKILLS: STRONG & HEAVY PICU/CVICU experience - ideally 3 years minimum experience in a CHILDREN'S hospital OR heavy PEDIATRIC/PICU experience from an adult facility; must have 40% or more assigned to the PICU if coming from an adult facility. CA Lic in hand; AHA PALS - AHA NRP School Education
Preferred Qualifications
2 Peds RRT needed for 13-26 weeks in San Diego, CA with 8/13 SD

This not-for-profit 475-bed medical center is the only hospital in the San Diego area that is dedicated solely to pediatric care and boasts the nation's only designated pediatric trauma center. The facility maintains a clinical partnership with UCSD's Medical School and is regarded as a premier teaching hospital for training pediatric physicians. The hospital also has an extensive research division, working with the Sanford-Burnham Medical Research Institute, The Scripps Research Institute, the Salk Institute for Biological Studies and St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, in addition to UCSD. The recipient of many awards and commendations, the hospital has been ranked in all 10 pediatric specialties from 2010-2013 by US News and Report.
