LOCATION: Columbus, Ohio

SUMMARY:
The Administrative Director of Respiratory Therapy is responsible for directing all aspects and functions of the Hospital Respiratory Therapy services in accordance with the laws, regulations, and administrative rulings of governmental organizations and other regulatory and advisory authorities and organizations.
This position is directly responsible for ensuring the daily operational status and the long term care for all aspects of the hospital’s respiratory care services.
Administrative Director of Respiratory Care Services is responsible for the fiscal viability of respiratory therapy services and for maintaining appropriate profitable departmental operations to ensure financial contribution to the operations of the hospital as identified by the organization’s strategic financial plan(detailed in each fiscal year’s budget.)
This position is also directly responsible for the development and implementation of policies, plans and programs to assure that all respiratory care services are provided on an uninterrupted and daily basis providing 24 hour per day and 7 day per week service throughout the year.
The incumbent will be responsible for strategic planning within the department and, more globally, to provide the overall organization with an awareness of trends regarding respiratroy care services, especially within an acute-care community hospital setting.
EDUCATION/REQUIREMENTS:
Minimum of Associate degree in Respiratory, Bachelors is recquired and a Master’s is preferred.
A minimum of five (5) years experience in respiratory care functions with:
Three (3) years’ recent management experience in clinical respiratory care services.
NBRC Certified Respiratory Technician and NBRC Registered Therapist.
Licensed by Ohio Respiratory Care Board.
Current American Heart Association (AHA) Healthcare Provider CPR (BLS) certification required
ADDITIONAL INFO:
The hospital is an under 100 bed acute care facility.
Director will supervise around 35 people from Full time, Part time and PRN.
The position will offer a range between 85K-130K depending on experience and a full benefit package.
