DirectShifts is seeking a Respiratory Therapist to work in Gaithersburg, MD
Scheduled Weekly Hours: 40
Shift: Day
Workdays: Mon, Tue, Wed, Thu, Fri *With occasional weekend rotation
Working Hours Start: 8:30 AM
Working Hours End: 5:00 PM
Job Schedule: Full-time
Job Type: Standard

Basic Qualifications:
Experience
- Minimum one (1) year of respiratory therapy experience is required.
- Per the National Agreement, current KP Coalition employees have this experience requirement waived.
Education
- Two (2) year degree from an accredited school of respiratory therapy required.
License, Certification, Registration
- Applicable state license required.
- Current CPR Certification required.
- National registration/certification as a respiratory therapist is required.
- Enrollment in PECOS required.
Additional Requirements:
- Demonstrates clinical knowledge appropriate to care setting.
- Uses equipment and information systems appropriately.
- In order to work effectively with patients, must have effective interpersonal and communication skills and be able to stand, walk, bend, lift at least 50 pounds, hear, speak, and see.
- Must be able to work in a Labor/Management Partnership environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Respiratory Therapist trained in performing pulmonary function tests, ABGs and spirometry- primary job
- Experience with Sleep medicine, home sleep testing equipment and CPAP machines
