Registered Respiratory Therapist / Infection Prevention

Job Summary: Under the supervision of the Quality Director, the Respiratory Therapist is responsible for providing cardiopulmonary care services in accordance with specific physician’s orders, department policies and procedures.The Infection Prevention part of this position is a qualified individual with knowledge of CDC guidelines and definitions of nosocomial infections, federal and state regulations. The position is responsible for the identification, investigation, reporting, prevention and control of nosocomial infections among patients and personnel.Responsibilities include assisting with inservice programs related to infection prevention and control.
Requirements: Current WI Licensure as Respiratory Therapist Eligible for or currently a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) Must maintain BCLS certification yearly. Must maintain ACLS certification biannually 2-3 years experience in all aspects of cardiopulmonary services.
