Respiratory Therapist- Gainesville, FL

A hospital in the Gainesville, FL area is looking for a Respiratory Therapist (RRT/CRT) to join its respiratory care team!

This is a great opportunity to work in a large acute care hospital with a comprehensive range of medical services, including cardiovascular care, neurosciences, and critical care.

Position Highlights:

• Night shifts with rotating weekends

• 523-bed acute care hospital

• Comprehensive Stroke Center

• Established cardiovascular and critical care services

• Opportunity to work with a variety of patient populations

• Both RRT and CRT candidates considered

Responsibilities:

• Assess patients and provide respiratory treatments as prescribed

• Set up, operate, and maintain respiratory equipment, including ventilators

• Administer oxygen and aerosol therapies

• Perform and interpret arterial blood gases (ABGs)

• Monitor patient responses and communicate findings to the healthcare team

• Maintain accurate documentation and follow respiratory care protocols

Qualifications:

• Current Florida respiratory therapy license required

• NBRC RRT or CRT credential required

• Minimum 1 year of respiratory therapy experience required

• ICU, CVICU, NICU, PICU, or other critical care experience preferred

• Home care and long-term care experience may also be considered

• Current BLS certification required

• ACLS, PALS, and NRP required within 30 days of employment
