Job Description

Respiratory Therapist

Location: Pendleton, OR Area
Permanent Direct Hire | Full-Time

We are seeking a dedicated Respiratory Therapist to join a collaborative healthcare team in Eastern Oregon. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a community-focused hospital where you'll provide high-quality respiratory care to patients of all ages.

Responsibilities:

  • Assess, treat, and monitor patients with cardiopulmonary disorders
  • Administer respiratory therapies and medications as prescribed
  • Operate and maintain ventilators, CPAP/BiPAP devices, and other respiratory equipment
  • Perform arterial blood gas sampling and interpret results as appropriate
  • Respond to respiratory emergencies and participate in rapid response situations
  • Educate patients and families on respiratory treatments and disease management
  • Maintain accurate patient documentation and adhere to hospital policies and regulatory standards

Qualifications:

  • Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Therapy program
  • Current Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) credential
  • Oregon Respiratory Care Practitioner license (or eligibility to obtain)
  • BLS certification required (ACLS and PALS preferred or obtainable after hire)
  • Previous hospital experience preferred, but strong new graduates are encouraged to apply
