Job Summary:

As a Respiratory Therapist, you will conduct physician-prescribed treatments, such as administering oxygen, medications, and aerosols. You’ll also perform critical care therapies, manage ventilators, and conduct diagnostic procedures like pulmonary function studies and arterial sampling. Your work will be vital to assessing and improving patient respiratory status, collaborating with physicians and nurses to deliver the best care possible.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Administer respiratory therapy treatments, including oxygen, aerosols, and medications.
  • Provide critical care, including ventilator and airway management.
  • Conduct diagnostic procedures such as pulmonary function tests, oximetry, and arterial sampling.
  • Maintain respiratory equipment and ensure a clean, organized work environment.
  • Accurately document treatments and patient responses.
  • Communicate effectively with healthcare staff to assess and monitor patient status.
  • Be available for on-call duties as required.

Qualifications

Education Required

  • Associates or better.

Experience Required

  • Current New Hampshire Respiratory Therapist license. Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) certification required. Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Respiratory Therapy.

Preferred

  • Previous experience in a healthcare setting, with strong critical care skills, is a plus.
