Location: Southern Connecticut
Schedule: Rotating 12.5-Hour Shifts (Days & Nights, Weekends/Holidays Included)

Make a Critical Impact in Respiratory Care
We’re hiring a Certified/Registered Respiratory Therapist to join our respected healthcare team in Southern Connecticut. In this vital role, you'll work with patients across all age groups, delivering advanced cardiopulmonary care in a collaborative, fast-paced hospital setting. You'll have the opportunity to work in critical care, rotate into charge responsibilities, and be part of a respected interdisciplinary care team.
Key Responsibilities:

Evaluate, manage, and deliver respiratory care for patients with cardio-pulmonary disorders

Administer oxygen therapy, medications, mechanical ventilation, chest physiotherapy, ABGs, and more

Accurately document patient progress using hospital EMR systems
-
Respond to emergencies and provide life-saving respiratory interventions
-
Educate patients on respiratory care and self-therapy after discharge
-
Operate, troubleshoot, and maintain respiratory equipment
-
Participate in departmental meetings, training, and continuing education
-
Serve as charge therapist as needed and help ensure minimum staffing requirements
Schedule:
-
3 rotating 12.5-hour shifts/week

Day shift: 7:00 AM – 8:00 PM

Night shift: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
-
Includes rotating weekends and holidays
Applicants must be willing and able to rotate between day and night shifts. No exceptions.
Qualifications:
-
Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Therapy program
-
Certified by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC)
-
Licensed as a Respiratory Care Practitioner in the State of Connecticut
-
Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS (American Heart Association)
-
NRP certification (American Academy of Pediatrics)
What You’ll Need:

Strong manual and motor coordination
-
Physical ability to lift 30+ lbs, transport equipment/patients, and stand for long periods

Comfort working in environments with patient bodily fluids, odors, and occasional occupational risk
