Registered Respiratory Therapist - Neonatal Intensive Care - (RRT - NICU)
StartDate: ASAP Available Shifts: 12 N Pay Rate: $1350.00 - 1550.00

START DATE: 9/9/19 for 13 weeks. SHIFT: VARIED SHIFT. Must be flex on shift REQUIRED SKILLS: ****Increased Census at the facility*** 299 bed hospital with a 40 bed ED. DRESS CODE: Olive green scrubs (Available in the department). Meditech charting, V60 bipaps, 980 and 840 ventilators. 2 Years of experience as an RRT. Graduate of an accredited school of Respiratory Therapy or U.S. Military equivalent required. Candidates with NICU experience preferred (not required). MUST HAVE 2+ REFERENCES IN THE LAST 2 YEARS OF EMPLOYMENT IN PROFILE IN ORDER TO BE SUBMITTED. Assists in the diagnosis, treatment, and management of patients with pulmonary disorders. Collects and analyzes sputum, blood, and breath specimens to determine levels of oxygen, carbon dioxide, and other gases. Also measures the lung capacity of a patient to determine if there is impaired function. Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required. Typically reports to a manager. Performs other related duties as assigned. Must be able to move quickly to an area of patient crisis. Must be able to bend, stoop, reach over the head and push equipment. Must be able to lift 50 lbs. Must have correctable visual acuity to read patient reports and monitors. Exposure to chemical, radiological and biological hazards requiring personal protective devices. Must be able to stay calm in emergency situations. Communicate with patients, physicians, families and co-workers in person and on telephone. Work with equipment and manipulate equipment settings, computer keyboard, etc. General orientation followed by a short department specific orientation by our educator.

Required Qualifications
Meditech charting, V60 bipaps, 980 and 840 ventilators
2 Years of experience as an RT
Candidates with NICU experience
BLS, RRT, ACLS (required)
Graduate of an accredited school of Respiratory Therapy or U.S. Military equivalent required
