- Description:
Employee should have a strong knowledge base of: 1) Patient evaluation for each exam performed. 2) Anatomy and physiology of the cerebrovascular, peripheral vascular and abdominal vascular systems. 3) Doppler physics. 4) Purpose of testing. 5) Diagnostic criteria.
Performs each vascular ultrasound procedure with technical accuracy and efficiency according to department protocols and IAC standards:
-Duplex extracranial ultrasound, including intraoperative exams and temporal artery exams.
-Duplex scan of AV dialysis access.
-Duplex and Doppler peripheral venous and peripheral arterial exams including stents, grafts and stress evaluations.
-Duplex abdominal exams (mesenteric, renal, aorta, IVC and portal hepatic exams.
-Other exams as assigned by vascular manager.
-Works as a team to manage workflow and assist with the development of staff members and clinical students.

Local Rules – Travelers must be more than 50 miles from the facility they are applying at to be eligible as a traveler in the system. Any traveler within a 50 miles will be accepted at lower rate

Return Staff Policy – Staff must wait 2 years before allowed to travel.

Clinical Offer for all units – Unit Managers have up to 72 hours after an offer has been made to accept or rescind a clinical offer.
After 5 days it will decrease by 5% to a possible hourly rate of $78.75/hr.
