JOB SUMMARY

Under general supervision and according to established policies and procedures, performs quality diagnostic CT and radiographic examinations of the highest possible quality while limiting radiation exposure and using conventional, computerized radiology and c-arm radiology equipment. Complies with performance measures and/or activities to assure patient/customer satisfaction results, clinical quality benchmarks, and operational financial targets are constantly maintained. Complies with and participates in maintaining an environment which supports our philosophy and values.

EDUCATION

  • Knowledge of radiology standards and procedures normally acquired through graduation of an approved radiology school, an Associate Degree in Radiology or sufficient on the job training to meet ARRT certification requirements
  • Minimum of two years of clinical experience in diagnostic radiology necessary to enhance and develop skills, with previous experience in CT and cross sectional anatomy beneficial. Willing to train selected candidate in CT.

REQUIREMENTS

  • State of Wisconsin Licensed Radiographer License
  • Active ARRT(R) certification
  • CT Registry is required within 18 months of employment and maintained thereafter
  • Current CPR certification or obtained within 90 days of hire

ADDITIONAL SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS

  • Training to demonstrate complete working knowledge of all diagnostic radiographic equipment within the facility
  • Ability to deal with patients, providers and co-workers in a cooperative, courteous and tactful manner with good communication skills
  • Interpersonal skills necessary to convey instructions to patients who may be under physical and/or emotional stress in order to gain cooperation and compliance, to gain necessary clinical information and to convey patient information to nursing staff, physicians and co-workers
  • Must have reading skills compatible with confirming patient identity and interpreting physician orders, and the ability to input and extract information from a computer
